  47. demonscantgothere said: My parents spanked when me or my brothers did something that could have had serious consequences, like jumping off the roof and breaking your leg. They must’ve handled it properly because I always had a very loving, trusting relationship with them. There was never an issue of fear. I remember one time I could have ended up disabled from one of the stunts I pulled. I also have a violent nephew who was never spanked or yelled at. Reasonable corporeal punishment =/= abuse.
