yo, don’t donate any money to restore and rebuild notre dame, its a worldwide tourist attraction. the corporate interests of france would rebuild it even if they had to withhold food from babies, there is a 0% chance the cathedral would ever be left to languish. restoration will be a pretty high priority for the government itself.

internalize the feeling of watching a loss like that, and think: natives are BEGGING us to protect much older places of human history right here, we are driving bulldozers over and through for a few men who deny us all healthcare to get richer.

put your money toward some lesser-reported restoration and protection efforts, especially those actively being targeted by the rich.
