guess who just found out the difference between wax paper and parchment paper the hard way

wait what’s the difference?

one you can use in the oven safely and the other you can also use in the oven if the thing you are trying to make happens to be fire

  1. drgaellon said: @bakura-kurama13 Old-school parchment is actually a form of super-thin leather made from animal skin that, yes, was used for books and scrolls. Modern parchment paper is treated to make it oven-safe and non-stick (and incidentally also grease-proof). Waxed paper is grease-proof but cannot go in the oven.
