okay but the real question is why did a blog that just makes the same post over and over again with slightly altered images you can make in like 1 minute tops need like 12 different mods and a discord to communicate between them and why did they all hate eachother like this really seems like the most avoidable drama in existence its like a fireman dousing himself in gasoline before entering a burning building

this is one of the funnier posts i’ve seen about this but as a former mod here’s the actual explanation:

1. the posts themselves usually took about 3-4 minutes to make, with most of the time being trying to find transparent or good quality pics of the character. i know it doesnt sound like much time, but we often got loads of requests at once. i once got 60 requests with the inbox open for five minutes, so it took me a few hours to get all of them done.

2. rhys wanted us to post A Lot. originally, he had the queue set to 48 times a day. he eventually let us reduce that to 36 a day, and then once more to 24 a day. he would get frustrated with us if the queue was low or empty, but he almost never did requests himself, saying he was like our manager. i ended up queueing some posts during my finals weeks because i didnt want to disappoint rhys. (side note: some of us mods had a joke that this was our jobs bc it took up a lot of our time, but rhys actually was making money off of the redbubble that he made for the blog, money that was never shared with us.)

3. we didnt hate each other. im in a gc with all the mods except rhys and jack and we’re all friends! for most of our time on the blog, things were good between all of us. the reason this all went public is because ruby had had enough of rhys’ continued abusive behavior (none of the rest of us had known about the details of the previous callout about rhys, as he downplayed it and didnt like to discuss it)
