magnificogreatwhites:

Yesterday we visited the Georgia Aquarium for my birthday. They have a new sharks display to bring awareness to these beautiful creatures. Of course, no GWS as they cannot be kept in captivity, but I think I should proceed with copyright infringement! 🤣

The Georgia Aquarium’s sharks gallery is one of the largest in NA, giving people the chance to view Hammerhead Sharks (which are smaller than you’d expect!), Sand Tiger Sharks, Silver Tip Sharks, and Tiger Sharks!

They are housed in 1.2 million gallons of water. The display encourages people to practice methods for shark conservation and includes facts and common myths regarding these beautiful creatures, with information on volunteering for cleanup crews for rivers and coasts.

Many of these animals have previous battle scars and were rescued from cases of neglect or unhealthy living conditions.
