after listening to the song “you, me and steve”, i felt an ungodly amount of motivation to make a stupid moomin-related video with that song. so, i spent a whole week doing just that. here ya go, fellas
That one moment in New Moomin where Snufkin leaves for the winter and Moomin runs out to catch him and give him an amulet, hoping to wish him safe travels…
And when he gives it to Snufkin, he states that “This amulet will assure that the person who made it and the person it was gifted to will meet once again.”
AND THEN SNUFKIN SHEDS A TEAR…
And he tucks the amulet under his scarf… and reaches out his hand to Moomin… and Moomin starts CRYING and takes it in his…
Then they hold hands until an inch of snow has settled on their arms… and Snufkin eventually breaks away, saying, “Goodnight, Moomin. I believe this amulet was made from your heart, wasn’t it?”
my favorite thing about the moomins is that their domestic cottagecore aesthetic is basically just a cover for the fact that they’re actually like 2 degrees of separation from going full feral at any one time and literally everyone knows it
