like okay i feel like i should clarify this statement
the trolls movie made me feel so good. like the writing is decent and the plot is fairly formulaic and the gags are sometimes dragged out for too long or repeated at awkward times but the colors were fantastic and the music was FUN and the character designs were so DELIGHTFULLY HIDEOUS and it hit ALL my favorite tropes in a way that worked really well for the story they were telling
basically it was a disgustingly sugary syrupy glittery hug to my heart and that is exactly what i needed so Thank You to dreamworks for the beautiful rainbow sparkle bomb that is the trolls movie
WHATCH OUT FOR SHARKS!
